About Cobb County DUI Court
Cobb County DUI Court is a post-conviction intensive probation/treatment program for multiple DUI offenders. Defendants with multiple DUI convections apply to enter the program, and those who are accepted are supervised for at least 12 months while they attend frequent treatment sessions, appear in court twice per month, and submit to random alcohol and drug testing each week. Working hand-in-hand with treatment professionals, the DUI Court team members (representatives from key roles in the criminal justice system) provide a strict but supportive environment that helps reduce repeat offense and keep our Cobb County Streets safer.
Cobb County DUI Court Cobb County DUI Court has admitted over 692 participants since its inception in 2008. The average blood alcohol content (BAC) at the time of arrest for a DUI Court participant is .21, more than double the legal limit. 509 participants have successfully completed and graduated from the program. The program has an 87% retention rate for all who enter.
